WINE-TASTING, ITINERARIES, ROUTE PLANNING SERVICE

WHO WE ARE: Salvador Rivero runs this small, traditional winery (bodega), which has been in his family for over 100 years. He is a fully qualified enologist and has been in the business for over 25 years. His Scots wife Inés, is a language teacher and part-time interpreter, who has lived in Spain since 1979.

WHERE WE ARE: We are located in the small, white village of Prado del Rey, in the Cádiz mountains, an area brimming with archaeological remains and historical sites. It is a perfect spot for sightseeing in the typical, unspoilt surrounding towns: El Bosque, Grazalema, Villaluenga, Benamahoma, Arcos de la Frontera etc., all within comfortable driving distance. There are breathtaking views along the mountain roads leading to tiny villages, or if you prefer somethng more urban, we are a 30 minute drive from Jerez, famous for its wines and horses, or about an hour from Seville, packed with monuments, shops, bars and restaurants. Prado del Rey is one of the livliest towns in the area insofar as bars, restaurants and events. Moreover, there is a wide range of accommodation possibilities in or near the town, varying from comfortable, rural renting to more up-market hotels.

WHAT WE OFFER: Basically, we offer you the chance to visit the winery and enjoy a wine-tasting session complete with enologist’s explanations, plus “tapas” to accompany, in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. You will taste five different, local wines produced in the winery and locally produced cheese or cured meats. For more information about the winery and its wines, please click on the other sections on our web site.
Our long experience living and working in the area, gives us a unique insight into the characteristics of its towns, its people and their culture and customs. Why not take advantage of our experience to help you plan your stay in this area? We can organize accommodation, meals, routes and visits for day trips or longer breaks. Our assessment will enable you to relax and enjoy a non-hassle stay, and the chance to get to know a part of Andalucia which fortunately, is still off the tourists´ beaten-track.
